Born August 21, 1943, in Alamance, NC, he was a son of the late Silas Jack Woods, and Bessie Ruth Reeves Woods. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Juztice LeeAnn Martin.
Survivors include three daughters, Lois Ann Harris and husband Shaun, of Lynchburg, Shelia Ann Johnson, of Salem, and Shelly Ann Martin, of Huddleston; three sisters, and a brother; five grandchildren, Angela Martin, Joseph Johnson, Natalie Martin, Julia Johnson, and Todd Martin; four great-grandchildren, Jakob, and Jaklyn Martin, Bo Maye Henderson, and Benjamin Johnson; special family members, Pat Woods, and Hope Hughes.
The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the residence of his daughter, Lois Harris, 2408 Woodrow St., Lot 309, in Lynchburg.
