Rebecca Ellen Watts, 65, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012. Rebecca’s journey living with cancer has come to an end. Born March 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Reynolds Wooldridge and Howard Grey Wooldridge of Lynchburg.
Rebecca was a free spirit full of zest for life. She enjoyed singing and dancing to the music of Rod Stewart, the Bee Gees and Patsy Cline. She was so giving of herself to her children and friends and always put herself last. Through her journey she never left us forgetting how precious life is and worth fighting for.
Rebecca was an amazing and loving mother and friend. She was a proud 1965 graduate of E.C. Glass High School, a former employee of Craddock-Terry, Designs on You,
J. Crew, Bausch and Lomb, and no doubt an animal lover.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Smith Lisota and her husband, Justin and their son Beckett Grant of Milwaukee, WI; her son Grant Davidson Smith and his wife Amanda and their two children, James Davidson and Caraline Jean. Rebecca also left behind her dear friend of 44 years Jennifer Davis of Amherst and her loving companion Chloe.
Rebecca’s family will be hosting a gathering at the Timberlake Pavilion 711 Timberlake Drive from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 to celebrate her life. Please come prepared to share your fondest memories of Rebecca. Her family will scatter her ashes over a magnolia and set it free on Timberlake. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
