

Born in Lynchburg, August 20, 1953, he was a son of the late James Benjamin Goodman and Delores Constance McGuire Goodman. Bobby was a retired brick mason and was a long time member of Rock Pike Baptist Church. He loved music and loved to sing, especially at his church.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Bobby enjoyed being with his family and his many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Goodman.
He is survived by two daughters, April Ann Goodman of Rustburg and Caryn Marie Crouse and her husband Kevin of Concord; two brothers, Keester McGuire of North Carolina and Ray Goodman and his wife Terri of Lynchburg; two sisters, Sheila Sowers and her husband Charles of Lynchburg and Marie Dryden and her husband Bennie of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Logen Wayne Liberty, Meadow Grace Crouse and Fayth-Ann Constance Rome and one Aunt, Mary Callaway of Lynchburg.
A service celebrating Bobby’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor John Sines, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Pike Baptist Church Cemetery. Following the service the family will host a reception at the New London Volunteer Fire Dept. All of Bobby’s friends are encouraged to attend.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
