Roger Neal Woods, Sr.

Born September 21, 1948 in Burlington, N.C., he was a son of the late Silas Jack and Bessie Reeves Woods. Mr. Woods was a self-employed dry wall worker for 45years.

In addition to his wife Lottie he is survived by children, Rhonda Woods and fiancé Edward Pratt, Joanne (Davy) Mullins, Roger ( Teresa) Woods, Jr. Christphor J. Woods; sisters, Gilda (John) Campbell, Pat (Sonny) Hylton, Lucy (John) Stanley; brothers, J.L. Woods, Ralph Woods; 12 grandchildren, Crystal Mullins, Davy Mullins, Jr. Allyson, Hannah, Haley Woods, and Frankie Mullins.

Roger is also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Peggy Harris, Clifford Woods, James Woods, Raymond Woods, Faye Woods, Glenn Woods, and Doris Eagle.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by the Rev. Steve Tyree. Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.

Roger was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother that will be truly missed.
