Ruth Marie Adams

Ruth Marie Adams, 92, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Carlos Henry Adams, Sr. Born March 3, 1924, in Buena Vista, she was the daughter of the late Sam Lawrence Niece and the late Lou Ella Camden Niece.

Ruth was a retired floor worker for Imperial Reading.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one son, Charles Henry Adams and nine brothers and sisters.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Carl Henry Adams and his wife Elizabeth of Lynchburg, Terry Eugene Adams of Concord and Thomas Wayne Adams and his wife Linda of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2016, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Whitaker officiating.

There will be no scheduled visitation hours at the funeral home.
