Ruth Austin Aultice

Born in Gladys, August 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Austin and Allie Grishaw Austin. She was retired from General Electric after 24 years of service and was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Ruth was the last surviving member of her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jeffrey L. Aultice and his wife Ranny of Lynchburg; one daughter, Darla D. Aultice of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Mary Owens and her husband Carwin and Jeff R. Aultice and his wife Deanna all of Lynchburg and Alan L. Aultice and his wife Leigh Ann of Bedford and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Will Montgomery, Pastor of Heritage United Methodist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Heritage United Methodist Church building fund, 582 Leesville Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502 or to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the staff of Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the wonderful care and attention they provided to Ruth.
