Born on November 12, 1953 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Edward T. Reynolds and Catherine B. Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Reynolds.
He graduated from Brookville High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Virginia Tech. From there, he went to work as a supervisor at Rock-Tenn for several years before working as an Analytical Lab Analyst at Abbott Laboratories prior to his retirement. He loved all things space related and was an avid collector of Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia. One of his hobbies included a passion for Legos and he built numerous impressive models over the years. He was an avid reader and book collector and loved studying his Bible. He loved the Lord and was a devout Christian. Most of all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Freida G. Reynolds; three daughters, Susan Farmer and her husband Matthew of Hurt, Ilia Reynolds of Lynchburg and Brooke McClintic and her husband Tyler of Lewisburg, WV; a brother, Brandon G. Reynolds and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Avery Haywood, Mosley McClintic and Major McClintic; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Mark Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
