Born April 28, 1933 in Campbell Co., he was a son of the late Oscar Leftwich and Lucy Miear Phillips. He was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Thornton Phillips; two sisters, Betty Phillips and Mary Tyree.
Mr. Phillips survived by two sisters, Catherine Phillips of Evington, Emma Woodford and her husband, Fred of Huddleston; and one brother; Jack Phillips of Evington. .
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
