Thomas Gilmore Spradlin Jr.

Born Feb. 19, 1958, in Lynchburg, he was preceded in death by his mother, Macie Sizer, and her husband, Pete. He is survived by his parents Thomas G. and Nora Spradlin.

Tom was employed by Colonial Webb Contractors and was an avid Redskins fan.

Survivors also include two brothers, Danny Spradlin and wife, Karen, and Donald Spradlin and wife, Kaylene; his sister, Brenda Horwitz, and husband, Abbey; three step-sisters, Kimberlee Phass, Kandis Koustenis, and Kellee Daniels. Uncle "Buck" was beloved by his nephews, Wesley Spradlin and his wife, Beth, Mark Spradlin, Michael Horwitz, Jonathan Horwitz, Dean Jack Phass, Tyler Daniels, and Chase Daniels and his nieces, Shayna Horwitz and Alexandra Phass.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Moyock United Methodist Church, 268 Caratoke Highway, Moyock, N.C. Phone: (252) 435-0610.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, by the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA. (434) 239 0331.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
