Born on January 27, 1921 in Lexington, VA she was the daughter of the late William Lewis McGuffin and the late Ollie Wayne Chittum McGuffin. Wayne retired from the Fairview Christian Daycare as the director, where she started the nursery. She enjoyed traveling, singing, family, friends, and flowers. Wayne was a member of Fairview Christian Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Willie Mosley Rosser, Jr. and a grandson, Phil Lucado, Jr.
Wayne is survived by her children, Anne Lucado and husband Philip of Greensboro, NC, Mary Wayne Hardwick and husband Bill of Lynchburg, VA, and Walt Rosser and wife Barbara of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Dolores Rosser of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Heath Rosser, Joy Morrison, Kristie White, and Diane Allen; great grandchildren, Claire, Presley, Erin, Will, Tommy, Taylor, Hunter, and Lexi.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Fairview Christian Church, with Pastor Curtis Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 11:00 am.
