Willis Evans Neighbors, Sr., 75, of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Altavista on January 15, 1947, son of the late Norman H. Neighbors and the late Blanche Neighbors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Willis E. Neighbors, Jr.; two brothers, Kenneth Neighbors and Ralph Neighbors; a sister, Joyce Spradlin and a grandson, Benjamin Neighbors.

Willis was the retired owner of Eastbrook Heating and Cooling. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed spending his free time reading his bible.

Survivors include a son, Michael E. Neighbors, Sr. and his wife Debra; three brothers, James Neighbors, David Neighbors, and Ray Neighbors; five grandchildren, Michael E. Neighbors, Jr., Michelle Padgett and husband Zachary, Maggie Adkins, Christina Neighbors, and Christopher Neighbors. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
