

In loving memory of Wright Lambert, Jr., who went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He may have lost one battle, but he won the war. He has left a remarkable legacy for his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Self Lambert after 32 years of marriage. His daughters Rhonda Lambert of Lynchburg, Teresa Lambert Trent and husband Dave of Concord, Jamie Lambert Mason and husband Christopher of Concord, Brianna Lambert of Concord, and Haley Lambert of Concord; his son Joshua Lambert and wife Tiffany of Concord; Jennifer Self Meade who was like a daughter to him of Richmond; four grandchildren, Erica, Ashley, DJ and Scarlett; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Elizabeth Wooten and his father Wright Lambert. He was also preceded in death by his brother Donald Lambert and his grandparents, Clifford and Esther Wooten, who he was very close to. He is survived by his brothers Cecil Lambert and his wife, Linda of Denver, Colorado and Gerald Lambert and his wife Sherry of Lynchburg.
Jr. was born July 31, 1946, in Appomattox. He was proud of his work at Sentry Equipment Erectors. He loved his work family and enjoyed giving everyone he worked with a hard time. He loved life which included spending time with his family and working hard. He will be remembered for his honesty to people and his love for his family. He liked to play the tough side, but was a softy all the way through. He only went to the ninth grade, but proved through hard work and dedication that you can succeed. He attended Indian Hill United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at Timberlake United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kevin Holt. Family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m prior to the service and following. The family would like to express special thanks to Centra Home Health and Hospice, Centra Health Endoscopy Center , Dr. Robert Richards and staff of Gastroenterology Assoc., Dr. Cecilia MacCallum and Dr. Anita Hilliard and all other staff of Pearson Cancer Center, and Dr. John Carmack of Central VA Family Physicians for their exceptional care. The family would also like to send a thank you to all of the many friends and family of Sentry Equipment Erectors.
