

Born October 12, 1914, Marian grew up in Royalton Center, but moved to Lyndonville after marrying her husband Ivan on November 25. 1937. She was a graduate of the Medina Memorial School of Nursing in 1935. She worked at MMH and later with the Lyndonville Central School kitchen staff. After marriage, she lived in Lyndonville, becoming a member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School teacher and other volunteer positions. Most recently, she resided at North Wing Extended Care.
She is predeceased by her husband Ivan and by brothers Clyde and Glen Allport, plus a sister Ida Catherine Helwig. Marian is survived by her daughter Noralu (Gary) Monrad of Webster, NY and son, Wayne Woodworth of Macon Georgia; five grandchildren, Mark (Cathy) Monrad of Webster, NY, Greg (Shannan) Monrad of Rochester, Susan (Daniel) Ross of Geneva, IL, Nancy (Daniel) Verdun of Naperville, IL and Eric (Stacie) Woodworth of Maple Park, IL, nine great-grand children, Greg, Jr, Alexa, Griffin and Andrew Monrad, Brandon and Alissa Ross, Thomas and Lauren Verdun, and Ryan Woodworth.
Relatives and friends may call from 1-3 PM on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with the Pastor, Rev. Sonny Mauser officiating. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetary, Lyndonville at the family’s convenience.
As a memorial, Marian requested that one may donate a unit of blood in her name, if able, at an upcoming blood drive. Please call the American Red Cross in Medina (798-3170) for information and details. Otherwise, a donation may be given to the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Lyndonville, or Medina Memorial Hospital, 200 Ohio St.
