Arthur Ray Ashley was born on October 1, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to parents Norton and Lyda Bell (Lofton) Ashley and entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2020 at the age of 79. Arthur was known as “Pop” to those closest to him. He was an amazing and funny guy. Arthur enjoyed being outdoors fishing. He worked as a welder for most of his life and was good at it. Arthur was an exceptional father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, wife Catherine Ashley, three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his son Ray and Sheila Ashley of Kemp, daughter Beverly and Johnny Worley of Elysia Fields, daughter Paula and Mark Schultz of Kemp, daughter Tricia Ashley of Eustace, eight grandchildren and spouses, five great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
