Mr. Bennie Richard Crofford

Bennie was born on March 1, 1936 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to parents George Thomas and Flora Telitha (Elkins) Crofford and entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2019 at the age of 83. Bennie never met a stranger, loved to talk and was always happy. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and just piddling around. Bennie loved listening to old records and singing. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for over 50 years. Bennie was a member of First Baptist Church in Eustace. He was an amazing father, grandfather, father-in-law and brother. Bennie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret Crofford, daughter Mary Lochabay, sister Evelyn “Sissy” Weast and brother Claude Crofford.

He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Roegner and husband Brian of Athens, grandson Stacey Fuller of Athens, son-in-law Jack Lochabay of Athens, brothers; George Crofford Jr. and wife Justine of Sherman, Danny Crofford and wife Kim of Whitehall, AR and Mike Crofford and wife Sandra of Star City, AR, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.

Bennie loved the Lord with all his heart and is now part of the Heavenly choir.
