
Mr. Billy Gene Keeble was born on July 1, 1930 in Mabank, Texas to parents Homer Preston Keeble and Gladys Jewel Bates and entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2015 at the age of 85. Billy graduated from Mabank High School in 1947; where he was Valedictorian. He worked at Texas Instruments for 37 years and worked as a Radar Engineer. Billy’s job allowed him to travel to every Air Force base in the U.S. and Europe. He served in our military; The United States Air Force. Billy loved going bird hunting; especially dove. He enjoyed being in his yard and was a wonderful handy man; always working on “The family home”. Billy was a lifetime member of the NRA. He would volunteer at Richardson’s elementary schools; where he would read to the children. Billy enjoyed going to his rehabilitation; as he had made many, many friends that started over 15 years ago. He had a special place in his heart for all his nieces and nephews. Billy was Methodist by faith and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mabank. He was a very loving caring man who will be missed tremendously by those who loved and knew him.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jim Keeble, Bob Keeble and Preston Keeble and brother-in-law Allan Steitz.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy Steitz, sister-in-laws; Ronda Keeble and Sheila Keeble, nephew Ronnie Keeble and wife Shelley, nieces; Terri Bounds and husband Byron and Karen Clairy and husband Scott, 5 grand-nephews and 5 grand-nieces, his very dear friend and neighbor Mary Beth Russell and many friends.
