

Billy was born on August 10, 1938 in Crockett, TX to parents Ester C. Tims and Gussie Missouri Leggett and entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2016 at the age of 77. Billy was known as “B.J” to his family and friends. He was a good provider for his family; as well as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Billy owned and operator T&T Glass and Mirror; he worked as a glazer and iron worker. He was member of the Local #1837 Union Glassworks. Billy loved ranching and working cows. He was a member of Lakeview Assembly of God Church for 43 years; he was the first Deacon at Lakeview Assembly. Billy was a very loving and caring man who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, foster parents; M.A. and Clarabell Rich, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Tims; they were married 58 years on May 4, 2016, son Tyson Tims and wife Tracy of Tool, daughter Tonya Penney and husband Mike of Tool, foster brother Mark Rich of Tyler, grandchildren; Adam Tims and wife Brandy, Kelsey Penney, Taylor Irby, Dalton Irby and Collin Sims, great-grandchildren; Landon Penney, Alexis Tims, Sierra Tims, Peyton Tims, Pierson Holloway and Myles Tabor, very special friend Leroy Miller, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
