Bobbie Ann was born to Roy and Jewel Hendley on October 21, 1932 in Eustace, TX. She grew up in both Eustace and Waxahachie, Texas. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Claude E. (“Dick”) Armstrong on July 24, 1953. Bobbie worked for more than 43 years for Tyler Refrigeration in Waxahachie, retiring in 1995. She was a faithful member of the Farley Street Baptist Church and also the First Baptist Church in Athens. Bobbie loved music and played the piano at home and at church functions. She loved working on the family farm and enjoyed raising cattle. Sports were a big part of her life and she always enjoyed watching her sons and grandsons playing their favorite sports.
Bobbie Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dick; son Ty and wife Mary and their four sons, Patrick, Tim, Justin and Matt of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She is also survived by her son Shawn and wife Kathie and their sons Grant and Grayson Armstrong of Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
