Charles Todd Grummitt was born to parents Charles and Doris Grummitt on November 12, 1953, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He entered eternal rest on December 20, 2020. Charles was affectionately known as Chuck. He was raised in the north with one brother and four sisters. When they were children their father would flood the backyard so that they would have their own ice skating rink. Chuck graduated from Bradford High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp. Chuck took great pride in being a Marine. His friends remember the first thing he bought when they went to Okinawa was a camera, from that moment on you could always count on him to have a camera in his hand. In 1981 he decided to make the move south to Texas, to escape the harsh Wisconsin winters. Chuck was a great brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was always someone people could count on and always willing to lend a hand. Chuck was a huge sports fan, he loved sports of any kind. He enjoyed Rock and Roll and was musically inclined and when he was younger he was known to play guitar. Chuck found the love of his life when his daughter, Lauren, was born, she was the center of his world. When he became a grandfather it was an even bigger blessing to his heart. He absolutely loved when he was able to spend time with them.
Chuck was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Doris Grummitt and brother, Thomas Grummitt. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Grummit and husband Julian Acree; sisters, Marsha Anderson and husband Herb, Carrie Schweighardt and husband Ron, Cindy Flatebo and husband Pete, Janice Igawa and husband George and grandchildren, Cooper and Alice.
