She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Chloe; by her devoted parents, Scott and Tura Mankins; and by her sister, Sammy Clark, along with Sammy’s family—James, Destinee, Tristyn, and Avery—who all held a special place in her heart. She joins in rest her beloved grandparents—Elmer and JoAnn Wells, and James and Pat Mankins.
Charli Mowery was born on August 15, 1980, in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in a variety of places throughout her childhood and teenage years, and eventually met the love of her life, Adam Mowery. On June 26, 2003, Charli married Adam, who became her lifelong partner. On August 2, 2009, Charli and Adam welcomed their daughter, Chloe, into the world—a moment that marked the beginning of Charli’s most treasured role: motherhood.
Charli was a devoted healthcare professional who served the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas for more than 18 years. She earned her LVN from Navarro Junior College on August 28, 2007, and continued her education by achieving her RN on June 28, 2012. Charli was known for stepping up to handle challenging or overlooked tasks and for always offering help to those who needed it. Nursing wasn’t just her job—it was her passion, and she cared deeply for every patient she encountered.
Charli loved spending her free time with her animals, watching her favorite shows, and being with the family she held so close to her heart. Above all, she treasured every moment with her daughter, Chloe—whether it was running errands or simply spending quiet time together. Family was truly the center of her world.
She had a deep-rooted love for her work-friends and family. She was known for her big, comforting hugs, her bright smile, and her contagious laugh. Her kindness and grace knew no bounds. Whether you were family by blood or by bond, the moment you entered Charli’s world, you became part of it forever. She’d always welcome you in with a nice smile and warm hug. She didn’t just live life with purpose and love; she made sure others could feel that love, too. She was more than happy to give that.
Today is not just about mourning her death, but also about celebrating the wonderful and inspiring life she lived. She lived to make everyone feel special and appreciated. There will not be a day that goes by that Charli is not missed. Her absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, yet we find comfort in knowing she is now in a better place, held in peace and surrounded by everlasting love.
A Celebration of Charli's life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.
