Danny Avant

Danny Thomas Avant was born December 26, 1950 to Thomas W.L. Avant & Opal Evelyn Avant. He went Home to be with the Lord March 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Michael Bowling, & his nephew Adam Avant. Danny is survived by his wife Shelly Avant & children Gabi & husband John, Angela & husband George, Katheryn & husband Horace, Crystal & wife Jenna, Michael & wife MaryJane, David & wife Ashley. He is also survived by his siblings Scottie & wife Monica, Travis & wife Cubby, Bonnie, Connie & husband David. He also has 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and too many nephews, nieces, extended family & friends to count. Danny was a family man to his core & he loved them all deeply.

Danny was the king of the Dad jokes & always had the next million dollar idea. He had a heart of gold & a sense of humor that would make anyone laugh. He loved Our Heavenly Father more than words & would talk to everyone about going to church & getting closer to God. In fact, he never met a stranger & if you spoke with Danny for just a few minutes you would learn who invented the mini skirt & have an open invitation to join him any given Sunday at church. His laugh was contagious & his smile would light up any room & his hugs were legendary. He was a straight shooter who always wanted to help others with his creative mind & loved working with his hands & building things. Danny’s personality was larger than life & he will be dearly missed.
