Donald Newton Fielder was born on May 16, 1938 in Pine Bluff, AR to parents Samuel Lloyd and Annie Lay (Frederick) Fielder, and entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2019 in Athens, Texas at the age of 81. Donald was a very gentle and quiet man who loved his wife and his family will all his heart. He was patient, kind, and very humble. Donald loved to tinker on anything, being that he was very mechanically inclined. In his free time, he loved to camp, fish and be on the boat, but he especially enjoyed mowing lawn, for his widowed neighbors who in return paid him in pies, cookies and cakes. He was an approachable man who would speak to anyone willing to listen, he knew no strangers. Donald worked for Regency, Lincoln and Mercury for over 20 years, until he retired. He often volunteered at food banks and delivered Meals on Wheels with his wife Sandy. Donald married Sandy (Murray) on a leap year and it was often debated when their anniversary was so they enjoyed celebrating several days. They were married for 55 years on April 28th or 29th , one thing was certain they were married in 1965 in Red Oak, TX.
