Mr. Ernest Lavon Swindle Jr.

Ernest was born on December 22, 1932 in Terrell, Texas to parents Ernest and Birdie (Freeman) Swindle Sr. and entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2018 at the age of 85. Ernest graduated from Kaufman High School and worked 25 years for the Dallas Fire Department. He was a strong willed, hardworking man, who loved to tell jokes and was very funny. Ernest loved being outdoors fishing and feeding his ducks. He was always working on something, building things; not much he couldn’t do. Ernest loved God and his family. He enjoyed traveling and seeing things. Ernest was a great man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and brother Anthony Swindle.

He is survived by his loving wife Floye Swindle of Tool, son Stephen Ray Swindle and wife Annette of Mabank, son Gary Lynn Swindle and wife Traci of Forney, granddaughter Kassi Dell Withers and husband Scott of Anna, granddaughter Morgan Lynn Coleman and husband James of Forney, granddaughter Meriah Lea Swindle of Mabank, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Elizabeth Smith of Arkansas, other loving family members and many more friends.
