Janet Lyn Reynolds was born in Palestine, Tx August 14, 1965, to Mike and Serena McConathy. Her parents lived in Mabank at the time and shortly after they moved to Eustace where Janet would spend most of her life. Janet went home to be with our Lord on January 10, 2025, after a short, hard battle with cancer.
Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father-in-law Russell D Reynolds Sr., brother in laws Bootsie Floyd and Paul McNeel and her daddy Mike McConathy Sr.
Janet is survived by her mother Serena McConathy, husband Russell D Reynolds Jr., daughter Brooke Lyn Reynolds, son & daughter-in-law Russell D Reynolds III, & Kaitlyn, grandson Russell D Reynolds IV (Russ). Brothers and sisters Mike & Debbie McConathy, Anita & Dwane Grant, Rena & David Allen & Christy McConathy all of Eustace. Angela & Dean Smith of Brownsboro, Kathryn & James Culp of Arlington, Vickie Williams and Mother-in-law Mary Thompson both of the New York Community.
Janet is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. (She never met a stranger.)
Nephews serving as pallbearers will be D.J. Grant, Michael McConathy, Davey Allen, Jacob Horton, Blake Roberts, Cameron Conner, Levi Sams, Taylor Snow and Brycen McConathy.
Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 18, 2025, prior to the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Caney Creek Baptist Church with Scot Bonner officiating. Graveside service will follow at Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Eustace, Texas.
