Jay Martin LeGallee was born on July 11, 1950 in Detroit, MI to parents George Maxwell and Geraldine (Hammerick) LeGallee and entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2017 at age of 67. Jay serviced in the United States Army and received numerous medals for his service during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed for 40 years as a contract carpenter. Jay married Judy Krause on May 6, 1989 at St. Ann’s Church in Walled Lake, MI. He was a very colorful and free-spirited person, who had true and loyal friends. Jay loved riding motorcycles and had for most of his life. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. Jay will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents and brother Don LeGallee.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy LeGallee of Malakoff, son Michael McDonough of Clarkston, MI, son Jay LeGallee and wife Kim of Oxford, MI, son Ray LeGallee and wife Sarah of New Hutson, MI, daughter Janina Davis of Grove City, OH, daughter Jessica Smith and husband Chad of Friendship, TN, daughter Jeanette LeGallee of Malakoff, son James LeGallee of Malakoff, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Jill LeGallee of Essexville, MI, sister Lori Belrose of Gaines, MI, other loving family members and many more friends.
