

Keteth Leona Cornelius was born January 19, 1941 in Dallas and entered into eternal rest in the comfort of her home in Amarillo. Keteth was known as “Kay” to those who loved her. She was a spunky woman who loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Kay enjoyed watching the history channel and especially liked the show Ancient Aliens. She loved all things Texas and spending time on social media. Kay would often play word games and listening to romance novels on her phone. She adored the color purple. Kay, a Baptist by faith, spent many years teaching in children’s ministry and was known by many as their “Church Camp Mom”. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, father Burl Alton Hoggatt and mother Violet Grace, sister Wanda Ivy, and husband Grady Weldon and second husband Ken Cornelius.
She is survived by daughter Vi Mays and husband Phil of Rowlett, son Frankie Weldon and wife Annette of Cobb, daughter Lynn Brown and husband Randy of Amarillo, son Lee Wayne Weldon and wife Cheryl of Amarillo, daughter Gradena Weldon of Amarillo, grandchildren Angela Sanchez, David Mays, Billy Jack Wilson, Joshua Weldon, Jeremiah Weldon, Jamie Allen, Logan Brown, Beth Kirkpatrick, Brandon Weldon, Brandi Weldon, Hannah Longbine, brother Dale Hoggatt and wife Ginger of Athens, brother Ronnie Hoggatt and wife Linda of Indian Gap, sister Ada Martin of Uvalde, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many more loving family members and life long friends.
