Born August 3, 1953 to Bill and Marie Heath, in Terrell, Texas. Raised on the family farm in Kemp, TX. and attended grade school in Kemp, later transferred to Mabank, and graduated from Mabank High School in 1971. Louis Attended Calvary Baptist Church and later became active members of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, in Terrell, TX.
He attended Henderson County Junior College from 1971 to 1972, where he met the love of his life, Joyce. From 1972 to 1976, Louis proudly served in the United States Navy. He married Joyce May 23, 1973. They would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2023.
Louis attended the University of North Texas, in Denton, Texas and obtained a degree in Criminal Justice and served for Denton County Sheriff's Department in Denton, Texas for over 20 years.
Louis and Joyce were blessed with two beautiful and beloved children, Logan and Jocelyn, while living in Denton County. The family moved back to the family farm in 1997.
Louis enjoyed various hobbies; camping, bottle digging, and collecting. He loved history and had a special interest in Medieval, Viking, and Celtic history; collecting various items from that period. The family enjoyed camping and Louis was well known for telling the best campfire stories. He loved teasing and joking with his children and others.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Heath; Logan William Heath and his spouse; Jocelyn Marie Heath and husband, Dustin Kincaid; granddaughter, Adriel Marie Beeman; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, William F. Heath; mother, Flora Marie Heath; and brother, Lawrence Edward Heath.
The family has requested that donations to personal charities are made, in lieu of flowers are perfectly acceptable.
A Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, in Mabank, Texas on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Immediately following, a Funeral Service will occur in the chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home. A Graveside service will take place at the Good Springs-Duncan Cemetery, located in Henderson, Texas at 2:00pm.
