Born on October 9, 1961, in Waco, Texas. Febe was the daughter of the late Michael Reynolds Melton and the late Teresa Frances Melton Greenlaw.
Febe was known to many as “Lynn”. She was given the nickname, Febe, by her mom and dad, and who she was known as all her life. Febe was full of life and a very scrappy youngster. She was always up for adventure! Febe worked for Bank of America for 40 years. She began her career as a receptionist and was a Vice President in Project Management when she retired in 2021. Febe’s love of animals, especially horses, was knitted into her very being, as reflected by her “One More Horse Ranch” where she welcomed and cared for rescue horses. She also had a passion for creating handcrafted items, which she lovingly shared and sold through her Etsy store, The Whimsey Duchess and her antique booth in Athens. Febe held a deep love for her church family and remained steadfastly committed to her Savior Jesus Christ. Her tagline was “Stay Vertical”. She loved her family with every breath of her being. She supported them through prayer, encouragement, laughter, tears, and the simple joys of daily life. She treasured making meaningful memories and reminded them to stay strong in their faith. There is so much more to her spirit and her story than these few lines can express, so for now we remember:
On November 30, 2025, 10:40pm, Jesus called our precious Febe home. On December 1, 2025, Febe experienced her first sunrise in which she is perfectly whole, at peace and filled with joy. No sin, no sadness, no anger, no frustration, no doubt, no fear. Perfect union with Christ.
Along with her husband, Febe is survived by her children Nicole Baron and her husband, Eric, Lindy Dugger, Erica Gammon and her husband, Derek, and Zachary Dugger and his wife, Lacy; eight grandchildren; her sisters Pat Hill and her husband, Ray, Pam Jaennette, and Michele “Missy” Williams and her husband, Mark; her brother Brandon Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, VJ Melton and stepfather Robert Greenlaw, and sister, Denise.
