Raymond Eugene “Doc” Williams was born to parents, Albert and Edith Williams on November 16, 1932. He entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2021 at the age of 88. Doc was an amazing man he was strong, compassionate, caring and generous. After graduating from Amarillo High School Doc joined the United States Marine Corp. He served his country honorably as a Marine and attained the rank of Sargent before returning to civilian life and finishing college. Doc married the love of his life, B.J., on May 27, 1967, in Amarillo, Texas, and they began their union of 53 beautiful years. Doc loved his wife fiercely and was completely devoted to her, he was a kind and patient father and adoring grandfather. He was always very protective of his wife and whole family. He was a wonderful caregiver and could always be counted on by anyone in need. Doc was active in his community wherever he was and was a member of the Mason’s in Colorado, Optimist Center in Seven Points, Texas, member of the First Baptist Church of Eustace. In his free time Doc enjoyed gardening, fishing, golf, and playing Bridge. His favorite pastime was traveling with B.J, they loved camping and going on cruises.
Doc Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edith Williams; his son, Joe Williams; granddaughter, Shelly Speer; sisters, Pauline Clevenger, Betty Willingham and brother Bill Williams. He is survived by his loving wife, B.J. Williams; daughters, Tamme Aureli and husband Leo, Andi Pastore and husband Paul, Bonita Speer and husband Clay; grandchildren; Jay Wesley Williams, Billy Williams, Melissa Williams, Sara Williams, Sloane Carter, Scott Speer, Eric Pastore, Kaci Ashley; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. He was well loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
