With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandy Rene Coke, who departed this life on June 14, 2025, at the age of 40. Born in Clovis, New Mexico, Sandy was the beloved daughter of Michael and Jimmie Sue Coke.
Sandy’s life was a complex journey — one marked by both deep struggle and undeniable strength. She battled addiction for many years — a reality that never defined her entirely but was a part of her story. She faced her challenges with courage that often went unseen and carried more pain than most could ever know. Yet despite it all, she remained someone who loved deeply, laughed freely, and offered quiet kindness to those fortunate enough to truly know her.
She is survived by her two children, John Michael Duyka of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Syana Hale of Jonestown, Pennsylvania. They were the lights of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
She will also be deeply missed by her sisters and their families. Jyme and Stanley Primus, Misty and Joey Pedroza, and Christine and Jason Trevathan.
Sandy was more than her struggles — she was a daughter, a mother, a friend, a sister, and most importantly a human being deserving of dignity, peace, and remembrance. Her story is a reminder of life’s fragility and the vital importance of compassion for those walking through pain.
In honor of her life, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Texas Recovery Center in Scurry, Texas — an addiction recovery facility dedicated to providing hope, healing, and long-term support.
