Vicki Darlene Woods, born on February 4, 1948, in Lubbock, TX, was sent to her eternal home on June 14, 2025 in Tyler, TX, due to complications with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Margaret Rose Byers and Charles W Clark.
Miss Vicki or Nene, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Vicki met the love of her life, Gary Woods and they were married August 25,1967. Vicki found joy in singing, painting, and all sorts of crafting projects. But her biggest joy was being a wife and mom, full-time preschool teacher and small business owner of Clark’s Learning Center. Those who knew her will remember her for her fun personality, glitzy fashion choices and talking to everyone since she did not know any strangers.
Vicki is survived by her husband: Gary Woods; daughters: Amanda Scoggin and son in law Brad Scoggin, Carrie Tumang and son in law Jomar Tumang. Granddaughter Kyleigh Lane, grandson in law Brian Lane and two twin great granddaughters, Josie and Wrenleigh Lane.
A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 2pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.
