Virginia Garrett was born on May 7, 1939 in Tyler, Texas to parents Aaron Jefferson and Marie (Davlin) Emmons and entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2020 at the age of 81. Virginia was known as “Ginny” to close that were close to her. She graduated from Memphis State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was an easy person to love, some would say and Angel on Earth. Ginny enjoyed singing, reading and studying the genealogy of her family. She was Pentecostal by faith and was a member of Phalba Independent Full Gospel Church. Ginny was an amazing mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed immensely by those who knew and loved her.
Ginny was preceded in death by her father and mother; Buddy and Marie Moore, husband Bill Dutton, sister Jeanette Rodgers and brother Jeff Emmons.
She is survived by her children; Joe Steven Buckbee of Kemp, Cynthia Marie Willingham and husband James “Buddy” of Tolosa, Michael Robin Garrett and wife Della of Mabank and Jason Henry Garrett of Canton, granddaughters; Kimberly Willingham, Staci Willingham and Randi Leigh Deihl, sisters; Janelle Booker and husband Chuck of Ft. Worth and Sue Hart of Mena, AR, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
