Richard was born on September 27, 1941 in Hobart, OK to parents Walter and Lorene (Berryhill) Bailey and entered into eternal rest on November 25, 2018 at the age of 77. Richard graduated from Marlow High School. He married the love of his life, Donna Dean, in Prague, OK on June 30, 1961. Richard worked for AT&T, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed reading, deer hunting, raising his cattle and farming hay. Richard was a generous, loving and kind man. He loved others above himself and always gave generously. He was a hard worker, always taking charge. He was a flirt without a filter and was constantly making new friends wherever he went. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Mabank. He served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and Awanis leader. Richard was also very involved in his community with widows and orphans, mission trips to the valley and delivering flowers and meals. He was an amazing man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth Bailey, brother Thomas Bailey, nieces; Teri Everett and Rene’ Hull.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna Bailey of Canton, son Dean Bailey and wife Jennifer of Beaverton, OR, daughter Angela Peery and husband Brian of Austin, son Mike Bailey and wife Jennifer of Canton, grandchildren; Allison, Killian, Grayson, Meagan, Heyden, Lexi, Matthew and Marcus, great-grandchildren; Harper and Zoey, brother Robert Bailey and wife Dorothy of Payne Springs, sister Fran Latham of Cross Roads, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
