Mr. William David Spencer

William was born on March 28, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Earl and Bernice (Formby) Spencer and entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2020 at the age of 59. William was known as “Captain Hook” to his family and friends. He married the love of his life, Christina Guzman, on June 1, 1991 in Dallas, Texas. William loved socializing and hanging out with family and friends. He enjoyed having people over and sharing a cold beverage. William loved to fish and be outdoors. He was an avid phone user. William was a member of Elm Grove Church, where he was very active and also took care of the building and the lawn. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. William will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

William was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike Spencer and nephew Nathan Berry.

He is survived by his loving wife Christina Spencer of Gun Barrel City, son Samuel Spencer and wife Kelsie of Mabank, daughter Brittany Spencer of Bedford, grandsons; Braylin Branch of Bedford and Graham Spencer of Mabank, brother Tom Spencer and wife Sandi of Huntsville, sisters; Nancy Berry and husband David of Waco, Gail Jackson of Dallas and Sandra Spencer of Gun Barrel City, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Elm Grove Church.
