Betty Ann Harris, 77, of Rockford went to be with the lord on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Swedish American Hospital. She was born April 24, 1934 in Metropolis, IL, to Paul and Frieda Riley. She married Robert F. Harris on September 13, 1969 and lived in Rockford for 42 years . Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing and participating in numerous bowling leagues. She was an avid Cubs fan, and was very sociable and well known by many at various grocery and department stores. Betty had a great sense of humor and a love for animals. She is survived by her husband; Robert (Bob) Harris of 41 years, her sons; Michael Drennen of Rockford, and Scott Harris of Prescott AZ, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 9, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.
