Bonnie Jo Freberg

Bonnie J. Freberg, 81, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday morning, January 9, 2022. She was born April 26, 1940 in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of Fred and Jewell (Bolton) Constant. Bonnie married her sweetheart, Edmund Freberg on November 4, 1960. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family. Bonnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, sewing, painting, ceramics and finding the best deals at garage sales. She enjoyed building family memories with vacations and trips. Bonnie was beloved by all and a mother and grandmother to all that knew her. Bonnie was the matriarch of our family and will be deeply missed.

Bonnie leaves behind her loving daughter, Deanna Arlow; grandchildren, Danielle (Larry) Hanley, Joe Amsbaugh, Megan (Matt) Law and Lee Arlow; great-grandchildren, Bailey Richter, Kyla Richter, Alyssa Hanley, Jaden Law, Tyler Hanley, Autumn Amsbaugh, Emily Amsbaugh and Jazlyn Law; siblings, William “Dub” (Barbara) Constant and Virginia Rowe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, daughters, Kathleen Addams and Eddy Freberg; and 12 siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a visitation to be held from 1:00 p.m., until the time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
