Brian J. Rieder

Brian J. Rieder, 28, of Rockford, IL passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 after a one year courageous fight with cancer. Born November 3, 1981 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Jerome and Debora (Cote) Rieder. He graduated from Hononegah High School in 2000. Brian worked at WREX as a promotions manager for the past eight years and was an avid Packers Fan. Brian married Jennifer Meidinger on May 21, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; parents, Jerome and Debora Rieder and sister Amy Rieder; parents-in-law, Ron and Diane Meidinger; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Judy Cote; uncle and aunt, Mark and Jill Cote; cousins, Nick and Brandon Cote; sister-in-law, Brittany (Kevin) Swift; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Nathan, Tori, Katy and Andrew; brother-in-law, Isaac (Samantha) Meidinger and other friends and relatives. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Elmer and Frances Rieder and other relatives. Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the funeral home and also 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be Friday, May 7, 2010 at Lakeview Cemetery in Jacksonport, WI.
