Carol “Elaine” Thompson, 67 of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away October 5, 2015. She was born July 20, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida to Melvin and Ollie Moore. Elaine married Ralph Edward Thompson on November 5, 1966 in Selma, Alabama. Elaine’s passions in life were God, her family, and the United States of America. She valued her freedom in God and the country she loved. She lived a life of gratitude.
Elaine was survived by her husband Ralph Thompson; her daughters Denise Thompson (Fiancé Michael Perry) and Jennifer Robin Thompson of Machesney Park; her future grandchildren Alexander, Timothy, Matthew, and Samantha Perry; her mother Ollie Perry of Beloit, WI, her sister Robin (Greg) Stepp of Davie, FL; her brothers Eddie (Barb) Moore of Valrico, FL and Chris (Lorrie) Moore of Beloit, WI and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on October 10, 2015. The visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed be the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Elaine to Wounded Worrier Project.
