David Paul Peterson, 56, Of Rockford, IL, passed away on August 31, 2016. He was born November 26, 1959 in Harlan, Kentucky to the family of John and Virginia Peterson. David attended East High School and graduated from Rock Valley College with an Associate’s Degree. He was employed by Advanced Machine and Engineering as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. He worked for AME for more than twenty-five years. David loved the blues, the Green Bay Packers, and a good medium-rare steak.
David is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Alexander) Loftus; mother, Virginia Peterson; and brothers, Robert and Carl Peterson.
Predeceased by his son, David R. Teter, father, John Peterson and brother, Richard Peterson.
The family requests that attendees wear Packers gear to the visitation and service.
Visitation Tuesday, September 6, 2016, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL, 61115. There will a funeral service following the visitation.
