David L. Steadman

David L. Steadman, 68, of Rockford, passed away June 5, 2015 in his home. Born May 14, 1947 in Richland Center, WI; he was the son of Melvin and Lillian (Stearns) Steadman. He married the love of his life, Donna R. Fogle on October 16, 1971 in Sharon, WI.

A U.S. Army Veteran, David served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from Rockford Fastener Inc. after 36 years of employment.

An avid Green Bay Packers fan, David enjoyed camping, bowling, POGO Games, old country western music, and spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Donna R. Steadman; children, Tobby (Angela) Steadman and Tonya (Eric) Meligan; grandson, Davey Meligan; sister, Arlene (John) Callahan; brother, Jim (Rose) Steadman; uncle, Ken (Pat) Steadman; sisters-in-law, Pamela Burfield, Beverly Maavich, and Janie Fogle; brother-in-law, Cal (Tina) Fogle, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Paulie Meligan; sister, Alice “Tootie”; brothers, Alan and Roger; special cousin, Steven Steadman; brothers-in –law, Terry and Thomas Fogle.
