Dean Burton Vargason, 82, of Machesney Park, passed away on May 23, 2011. Born May 29, 1928 in Hazelton, IA to Bruce and Netha (Deuhr) Vargason. Married Faith Hedrick on August 30, 1947 in Oelwein, IA. Worked as an Automobile Mechanic for Rockford Rambler and Rock River Ford. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing cards, shooting pool, camping, traveling, storytelling, joking, animals and toys. Member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Survived by his wife, Faith; son, Bradley Vargason of Cambridge, WI; daughters, Rebecca (Gary) Tague of Winnebago, IL, Kathleen (James) Johnson of Rockford, IL; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Nyle (Burnadene) Vargason of Hazelton, IA; sister, Linda (Duane) Schneider of Machesney Park, IL and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Lorraine; sister, Elaine and grandson, Shannon. Funeral Services at 2 pm Friday, May 27, 2011 in Concordia Lutheran Church, 7420 North 2nd St. with Rev.
