Dennis F. "Denny" Lolli

Dennis "Denny" F. Lolli, 72, left this earthly life on Thursday, February 23, 2017. In a life well celebrated Denny served over 25 years as a civil servant for the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department as a director of Emergency Services. During that time he was recognized for many of his accomplishment. Denny was instrumental in implementing the weather warning sirens. He graduated from East High School in 1962. He appreciated the courtesy of good customer service and had a low tolerance for incompetence. Earlier in his life he enjoyed the companionship of a fishing pole on Lake Nelson in Wisconsin. He enjoyed simple pleasures in life, relaxing in his recliner, storytelling, supervising any outdoor work, or just anyone! Denny enjoyed spending time together and going out to dinner with his longtime companion, Sue.

Denny is survived by his longtime companion Sue Engelke; children Mark and Michael Lolli and their mother, Sheryl; grandchildren, Marshall, Markie (Tyler) McNabb, Brittney, Bradon Lolli; soon to be great-grandson, Elias.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Mason. Memorials are suggested to the family.

A life well celebrated visitation for Denny will be Thursday March 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Private burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
