Diana L. Foster

Diana L. Foster, 73, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 18, 1941, in Rockford, daughter of Aldo and Louise (Vitale) Pro.

Diana went on to marry the love of her life, Junior Foster, husband of 56 joyous years, on April 12, 1958.

She enjoyed nothing more than entertaining, cooking for, and having a cold beer with her friends and family.

She will be truly missed.

Survivors include her husband; children, Sheila (Jack) Grable and Jeffery (Julie) Foster; sister, Carol Lagrene; grandchildren, Holly, Andrea, Jessica, Spencer, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Savanna, Eli, Logan, Oliver, Harrison, and Lei; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Yunk; parents; and sister, Mary Griffin.

The family wishes to thank all the friends and family that helped Junior care for his wife at home in her last days.

Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, with 9 a.m. visitation. Visitation 5-7p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at the funeral home.
