Dorothy F Gustafson

Born October 26, 1925 in Rockford, the daughter of Henry and Almeda (Thompson) Price. Dorothy was a lifetime resident of the Rockford area, and married Dale L. Gustafson on August 23, 1942 in St. Louis Mo.

Dorothy worked at many positions throughout her lifetime, eventually retiring from Forest Hills Lanes in 1995. Dorothy was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved to cook and had a passion for camping at their “summer homes” initially in Lodi, Wi., then later in Portage Wi. Dorothy loved music and was always ready to dance. Even after being confined to a wheel chair, she would always move and sway to the music whenever she was around it.

Survivors include, sons Bruce Gustafson of Hayward Wi., Douglas (Edna) Gustafson of Loves Park, Il., Richard (Janet) Gustafson of Lisle Il., Bradley (Teresa) Gustafson of Machesney Park, Il., and daughter Andrea (Joseph) Gennrich of Garland Tx.: 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband of 55 years; one daughter; both parents; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
