

Elaine (Bolster) Johnson passed away in her loving daughter, Jane and son-in-law Scott’s, home on March 1, 2025 after a brief illness at the age of 94. Born to Edwin and Edith Skrade on February 9, 1931 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
She was a hard worker as a waitress at several supper clubs and then retiring from North Health Care Medical Supply. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as going to casinos, playing BINGO, euchre, 500 Rummy, and reading, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and going on day trips. And most of all collecting gnomes for every occasion. The best part of her day was enjoying a nice, cold Pepsi.
Survived by her loving children, Judy Rosinsky, Joanne (Gary) Seegers, Jack Bolster, Jeff (Sandi) Bolster, and Jane (Scott) Erbe; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barb Gremore; brother, Doug (Helen) Skrade; sister-in-law, Cecelia Skrade; along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father; two husbands, Donald and Ray; son, James; son-in-law, Neal; daughter-in-law, Sandi; brothers, Gene, Fred, and Carl; brother-in-law, Chuck; and sisters-in-law, Harriet and Carol.
A visitation for Elaine will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She made a house a home and filled her family’s hearts with love and joy. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
