Erwin H. Dach

Erwin Dach, 91, of Rockford, Il. was welcomed into heaven on Sunday, February 4, 2018. In a life well celebrated Erwin was U.S. Army veteran who served in WWII. In June 1946 he married his sweetheart, Virginia M. Fox and together celebrated 71 years while raising their family in a home filled with love. Erwin was a lifelong member of St. James Church in Rockford and a standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Erwin worked for Rockford Products and was considered a valued employee for 55 years until retirement. He was most content when surrounded by his family. Erwin was born in Wilton Jnct., Iowa on October 10, 1926, to Adam and Emma (Hammann) Dach.

Survivors: wife, Virginia; children, Bernadette Schaffer, Collette (Louis) Hill, Annette (LeRoy) Welch; grandchildren, Eric Schaffer, Edmond (Amanda) Schaffer, Louis (Christa) Hill, Tricia (Mark) Yone, Brandi Bartlett; great-grandchildren, Luke, Max, Eden, Edmond, Chase, Addison, Joscelyn, Greyson, Irelyn; sister, June. Predeceased by parents; son-in-law, Roger Schaffer; siblings, Helen, Mary, Ester, Max, Carl, Herb.
