Eugene “Geno” R. Beck of Beaver Dam and Beloit, Wisconsin, met his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 after losing his battle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1938 in Loves Park, IL, to Edward and Ida (Pierson) Beck. Geno was a proud Marine Corps veteran, and he was a small business owner of Beck’s Building Maintenance for over 40 years. He loved the Lord with all his heart and spent many years ministering and helping anyone who was in need. He loved his family more than he could ever show and taught them many life lessons: don’t be a square, respect the janitor as much as the CEO, wear bright colors, and never act your age. He was comforted in his final days by Leo, his therapy dog, who rarely left his side.
Survivors include children Jeff (Su) Beck, Jackie (Gene) McNeany, Julie (Donald) Hodges, Jacob Beck, Joel Beck, Jodee (Dennis) Zurfluh, Diamond Beck, and Jazz (Jordyn) Beck; grandchildren Jeremiah Beck, Melissa Champion, Tamika Doolin, Kevin Harris, Jada Hodges, Jason Beck, Joel Beck, Taylor Beck, Brooklyn Beck, Madison Beck, Camrie Beck, Ben Beck, Andrew Beck, Daniel Beck, Samantha Zurfluh, Eric Zurfluh, Jazz Beck Jr.; great-grandchildren Abigail, Taja, Kaidin, Kaia, Mya, Amaya, Ava, Aria, Chase, Bella; brother, Bruce Beck; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gloria Larson, brother William Beck, grandson Jake Beck, great-grandson Cage Champion, nephew Steve Beck.
Special thank you to Agrace Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Geno.
