Eugene L. “Lucky” Dreier, 86, Machesney Park, passed away Monday Morning, January 7th, 2013 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born April 8th, 1926 in Freeport, IL. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Married Alice Smith on July 6th, 1957. Retired from Ingersoll Milling Machine with over 40 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Mike(Kristie), Dan (Pat), Scott (Patti); sisters, Betty Sarbaugh and Sally McGinnis. There are four grandchildren; Derek, Jeremy, Nikki and Brandon; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 7pm, Wednesday, January 9th at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Pastor Wendell Maynard will be officiating. Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm, on the day of the service. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
