Frank Krepfle, 83, of Rockford, passed away in the evening on Thursday, April 10, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1942, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, to William and Viola Krepfle. On June 25, 1960, Frank married Sharon Schultz, and they spent 63 wonderful years together before her passing in 2023. Frank was a proud photo lithographer with J.L. Clark from 1959, until retiring in 2007.
Frank was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and you could count on him always wearing a Cubs shirt. He enjoyed going fishing locally, as well as going on trips. Most importantly, he was known to his family as the “Euchre King” and taught all of them how to play. Even until now, the family holds an annual Euchre tournament thanks to Frank and Sharon taking the time to teach all of them their tips and tricks.
Frank is survived by his children, Connie (Mike) McManus, Sherry (Mark) Alloway and Thomas (Dee) Krepfle; grandchildren, Brandon (Elizabeth) McCann, Shane (Alyssa) Alloway, Paige (Brandon McNames) Krepfle, Mason Krepfle and Ashley Alloway; siblings, Carl (Anita) Krepfle, Sue (Sam) Dulgar, Carol Krepfle, and Linda Reid; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; parents, William and Viola; son-in-law, Sean McCann; siblings, Leo Krepfle, Robert (Evelyn) Krepfle, Gladys (John) Cascio, Joyce Krepfle, Audrey (Stanley) Linden, William “Bill” Krepfle, and Eugene Krepfle.
The family would like to thank the loving staff of Anam Care for their unwavering dedication to Frank’s care.
