

Frank W. Meier, 81, of Brodhead, WI, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 15, 1931, in Janesville, to Edwin and Claire (Helgren) Meier.
Frank married the love of his life, Lois Bolderson, on October 28, 1960, in Dubuque, IA.
Frank worked hard as a farmer for all of his life, and also retired as an iron worker “2 Plank Frank”, local 498 after 46 years.
He was a lifetime member of the LLL Society, a 55 year Mason, 32 degree and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman, but was happiest when he was spending time with his family, and listening to the stories of his beloved great-grandchildren.
Frank is survived by, his wife, Lois; children, Karen (Robert) Haberman, Shirley (Gary) Geiser, Judy (Norm) Royster, Ronald (Lorrie) Meier, George Meier, Lisa (David Bartelt) Meier, and John Meier; special children, Karen (Fritz) Benton, and John (Verlinda) Weber; siblings, Marge Whalen, and Fritz (Ruth) Meier; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents; a niece, and a nephew.
A life celebration will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park.
